Resurrection

Can we ever escape our past and its demons? Margaret (Rebecca Hall) leads a successful and orderly life, which is upended with the unwelcome arrival of David (Tim Roth) and his unfinished business. Hall masterfully embodies Margaret’s trepidation as she begins to lose the careful balance between her career and single motherhood to a headstrong daughter. Writer-director Andrew Semans has crafted a surreal and deeply disturbing film, blending drama and horror to deftly unearth a nightmare that feels all too real.
