Todd Barry has played all the big comedy festivals, won all the awards, been on all the big shows (Letterman, Conan). He’s been in movies (“The Wrestler”), writes Most Underappreciated Tweets of the Year lists, and currently plays a deadpan standup on FX’s “Louie.” Ian Edwards opened for J.B. Smoove at our Comedy Fest in 2010, and ever since, we’ve been receiving requests to bring him back for a full show. He’s done the big comedy festivals, he’s written for SNL, he’s been on MTV’s hit show “Punk’d” and HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam.” He’s performed on Conan and “Lopez Tonight,” and we’re thrilled to welcome him back to northern Michigan!

On the comedy stage, Judah Friedlander is The World Champion. Sure, he's Frank Rossitano on the Emmy-winning "30 Rock," he won an Independent Spirit Award for his role in the Sundance award winner "American Splendor," he's been in "Meet the Parents," "Zoolander," and "The Wrestler" -- but he's not an actor who does stand-up on the side. He's a standup comedian who acts on the side. He's been honing his act since 1989, doing standup just about every night. So even though Judah has made over 30 movies and appeared in hundreds of TV shows including Letterman, Conan, Fallon, and The Daily Show, standup comedy is Judah’s priority and specialty.

Seeing Judah perform live is always a unique experience. He always has new jokes and he plays off the audience making up jokes on the spot. You will never see Judah do the same show twice. Because Judah is so awesome, he’s also one of the most copied comedians. But a copy is never as good as the original. And no one can top The World Champion. Judah’s hilarious instructional karate book “How To Beat Up Anybody” is based on his stand-up act, but with all brand new material. He sells and signs it after shows. Judah does meet & greets after every show. Judah does not charge for photos. So, you don’t have to ask Judah if it’s ok to take a photo - you can take one with him, and it’ll be the sexiest photo you’ve ever seen.
