For the first time at the TCFF, we are joined by six excellent short films from student filmmakers at Michigan State University. This year’s program includes “D is for Dream,” a film examining the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in Detroit; “Out of the Box,” a documentary following the MSU Street Team as they visit underserved nonprofits; “In conclusive,” about electroshock therapy in the 60s; “A Public Affair,” a film where reality and fantasy meet; “Every Two Minutes,” a sobering look at sexual assault in America; and “Heart Effects,” a lushly painted animated short.
