In the history of commercial airline travel, there have only been 14 major plane crashes with a sole survivor. This stirring documentary follows the journey of George Lamson, the sole survivor of the 1985 Galaxy Airlines Flight 203 crash that claimed the lives of 73 others near Reno, Nevada. More than a quarter century later, George is still coping with the emotional and mental trauma brought on by the accident, and reaches out to the 13 other sole survivors to find support, including Cecelia Cichan, who survived the Northwest Airlines Flight 255 crash near Detroit in 1987. Together, the survivors open up to the camera and tell their miraculous stories. In Person: Director Ky Dickens; subject George Lamson Jr; producer Amy McIntyre.
